Direct accessibility

The sport podiatrist is directly accessible. This means that you can also visit Profysic without a referral from a doctor or specialist. Of course you can still make an appointment with your doctor first, but it is no longer mandatory.

Changes with 'Direct Accessibility Podiatry'?

If you decide to go directly to Profysic Sport podiatry, we will first carry out a so-called screening. During this screening we determine whether you have come to the right place. If not, we will advise you to visit your GP or other specialist first.

Check your policy conditions!

Even though it is legally determined that you no longer need a referral, there are still a number of health insurers that have stipulated otherwise in their policy conditions.  Please check with your insurer!

The amount of compensation is still regulated differently per insurer. Check your policy conditions to see what your health insurer reimburses.

The registered (sport) podiatrist: a certain feeling

Direct Access to (sport) podiatry means an extension of the responsibility of podiatrists. After all, you want to be treated optimally and, if necessary, be referred to a specialized colleague or GP.

The professional organization (NVvP) pursues an active policy to continuously improve the quality of (sport) podiatry.

To this end, the NVvP has drawn up quality requirements that all members must meet.
